WHATELY — A Whately committee secured FCAT as a production partner for its planned historical walking tour, resolving a recording gap after an earlier studio contact fell through. Committee member Judy said FCAT staffer Jonathan offered a podcast microphone, an editing machine and his own narration, calling himself "honored" to help, in exchange for a possible small honorarium or gift to FCAT. A separate contact, Jim Olson of Signature Sound, could not help because "the recording studio part of the business was retired a while back." Members said only two private homes, plus Town Hall, would need signage in the public right-of-way, and agreed to consult those homeowners before finalizing designs or scheduling recording.
The committee also discussed a resident's question about an East Whately historic district and floated a future lecture series, and set its next meeting for September 21, which falls on Yom Kippur; member Susan said, "I'm fine with that."
