Other Committee · Meeting of September 15, 2026

WHATELY — Frontier Community Access Television board lacks quorum, defers nearly every vote. Only three of the eight-member board, which oversees the station serving Deerfield, Sunderland, Whately and Conway, attended the September 15 meeting, forcing it to table 10 backlogged sets of minutes and a proposed grant fund for content creators for a third time. The general manager said the station's finances hinge on a three-town Comcast license renewal due by December 12, with the towns already "pretty much at the maximum" proposed franchise fee of roughly 4.8 percent.

Staffer Kai Eito Gonzalez asked the board to fund a $640 electrical outlet for a Frontier Regional School equipment closet, saying "that closet, however, does not have any electricity in it." The board rescheduled its November meeting to November 10 and tabled an executive session on the general manager's salary, then adjourned by voice vote, the meeting's only formal action.
