Whately Zoning Board Approves December Minutes, Awaits Bay State Blasting Hearing

Whately Zoning Board of Appeals approves December minutes in a session lasting under ten minutes. The February 5 meeting, chaired by Debra Carney, had no substantive hearings after Bay State Blasting requested a continuance to March and a separate inquiry from Judy Marklin was resolved before the meeting by the town's building inspector. Administrative Assistant Gwendolyn Kimberling drafted the December minutes, which the board approved unanimously after Vice Chair Roger Lipton raised and then resolved a question about the first name of a public commenter, Roger Kennedy of 82 Chestnut Plain Road, who had raised concerns about containment at the December session.
Carney closed by alerting members that a new town website was expected to go live within days, and that the location of board documents on the new platform had not yet been confirmed.
