WHATELY — The Conservation Commission said Kestrel's additional trail bog bridging needs no new filing. A staff member named Kelly told members that Kestrel had placed about 220 of 330 planned feet under an earlier spring RDA and wanted to put the remaining 110 feet elsewhere, mostly in riverfront area. Members said they had seen the stream dry and treated work within the trail footprint as routine maintenance, calling it an opinion, not a formal finding.
Kelly also reported that a Chestnut Plain Road enforcement order had not been signed for, and that the Board of Health planned to consider permitting beaver trapping near a solar farm access road. The August meeting moved to Thursday, Aug. 27.
